Here you will find the best cultural tour in the area of Guanacaste. Diria Coffee is a working coffee farm and  you will be able to see coffee being grown, right through the processing ready for brewing. The coffee plants are picked by hand three times in Costa Rica between Oct. and Jan.

You will also have the opportunity during this trip to experience one of our legacies from the Chorotega Indians. We will combine two important activities, "coffee and pottery". Diria Coffee is a co-op of 170 coffee growers, the communities of Guaitil and the neighboring town of San Vicente which are dedicated to preserving the Chorotega heritage by making pottery using the same methods and materials as their ancestors. Many families in the tiny village of Guaitil make their living by making pottery in their homes. Most of the residents are descendants of the Chorotega Indians who lived in western Costa Rica before the Spanish came to settle in the country.
